With many people fearing the actions of super heroes, the government decides to push for the Hero Registration Act, a law that limits a hero's actions. This results in a division in The Avengers. Iron Man stands with this Act, claiming that their actions must be kept in check otherwise cities will continue to be destroyed, but Captain America feels that saving the world is daring enough and that they cannot rely on the government to protect the world. This escalates into an all-out war between Team Iron Man (Iron Man, Black Panther, Vision, Black Widow, War Machine, and Spiderman) and Team Captain America (Captain America, Bucky Barnes, Falcon, Sharon Carter, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, and Ant Man) while a new villain emerges.

Hi,

I saw civil war and I come with good news; it's AWESOME!

Im not gonna spoil one single thing, since this movie should be seen by only the two trailers you probably saw. Don't watch any tvspots after the second trailer or whatever!

Im gonna touch a few aspects and rate them.

Acting: Of course it's amazing. The characters we were waiting for were black panther and of course SPIDERMAN! Both were done amazing! Spiderman has a bigger role than I personally expected and it's done with grace. Love it. Black Panther was such a good character with great motivation why he's doing what he's doing. The acting per usual from the other characters were great! 10/10

Story: Now where another (let's leave it) unnamed superhero movie failed this year, and no I'm not talking about dead-pool.., was the story. Now this story is what I expected from the other unnamed superhero movie. I didn't know what side I wanted to be on; cap's or iron man's. I was so conflicted and even while they're fighting you don't know who to root for. The villain in this movie felt a bit, not really out of place, but unnecessary in my opinion. But Marvel always struggles to find a good fleshed out villain except for Loki & kingpin in the series. 8/10

Action/Cinematography: O boy..If you're an action freak you will love this, if you're a comic book fan.. you're gonna LIVE these amazing action set pieces. The much anticipated airport scene is AMAZING. You've seen nothing, literally nothing of the amazing action that will bestow upon you guys. The airport scene is in complete imax and has a runtime of around 17 minutes. Just let that sink in! The Russo brothers know how to create great action and film it great as well. I can go on record and say this is by far the best superhero action scenes ever. 20/10.

Verdict: Was it a perfect movie? No. But for me as a fan it came darn close. The only thing that bothered me were the villains, well actually one of the few that are in there.

Was it better than... Batman v superman.. yes by far. I mean we're in a comic book movie year, so we might as well compare it. Batman v superman lacked in a lot of places and civil war just did it better. Just the conflict in ideologies made it so much more believable why the characters fought and because this whole story arc is happening now after 2 cross over movies, 3 iron movies and 2 cap movies.. the stakes are so incredibly high. I tried to compare dead-pool with it as well, but it's a different movie in terms of it being a solo movie and setting something up, instead of showing a conflict between good and good instead of good and evil.

9 out of 10! Near Perfect movie for the fans(9.5) and a good solid action film for the general movie go-ers(9)

Deadpool Movie Reviews

Let me say at the very beginning of this review, I loathe super hero movies. I can not stress that point enough. For me, watching anyone of the countless driveling movies which have been pumped out by studios in the name of entertainment over the past decade is, for me, akin to having teeth pulled. Painful to say the least. My friends however are addicted to every single bombastic franchise, and through sufferance, I've endured countless hours of mind numbing boredom watching yet more Lycra-clad numpties saving the earth from ridiculous threat (there are of course exceptions to the above; 'The Dark Knight', the original 'X-Men)

I was once again convinced that spending an evening with chums watching Deadpool would be an excellent waste of my time. I envisaged 15 minutes of feigned interest, followed by an hour 45 of updating my email and some cheeky online shopping. Well that new Morphy Richards kettle and toaster are still waiting for me to purchase as low and behold, shock of all shocks, this film is bloody marvellous!! Bloody, hold your knickers cause they are about to get blown off, marvellous!

The dialogue is witty, sincere, and delivered by every single actor with a naturalism which seems more like improvised off the cuff genius, than drab scripted nonsense.

The pacing of the movie is excellent. It held my interest through its entirety.

The actions scenes directed with the skill of a more seasoned director.

I was so pleased that for once, I was being forced to watch a movie that treated me like an adult, with adult humour and themes, made for adults. Not for grown children masquerading as adults.

This film is a perfect storm! Just everything is right! I look forward, to my great surprise to any squeals!

Star Wars:The Force Awakens Movie Reviews

Take a look at the rating details for this movie and you'll see that the highest ratings are coming from the youngest age group (18 and younger) while the lowest ratings are from the highest age group (45+). This is really all you need to know about this movie.

I understand Disney marketing the movie by saying that "every generation has a story," but it appears that this generation's story is about blatant plagiarism and a sad, obvious attempt at political correctiveness. I don't mind a black male lead, I don't mind a female lead, but every damn movie these days is seemingly directed at this point. Twilight, Hunger Games, Fifth Wave. Girl Power, right? I understand, but then again, I don't understand.

This movie is nothing more than a pc rehash of the original trilogy-- meant to trick the innocent youth who haven't seen them--while at the same time giving the finger to Lucas and those who saw the originals and watched in helpless horror as he was shoved to the curb. It's ironic, the people who Lucas made movies about--the Nazis and the subsequent Empire--have managed to buy out his creation and repackage it for a pop-culture nation so delusion it's seeing the world through a brown filter. I understand, but then again, I don't understand.

After seeing this the first time, I went back for a second viewing to see if I was being too harsh, maybe I missed something, it's a fast-paced movie after all. And I did miss several things from the first viewing, but those things I missed (see any of the thousands of 1-star reviews) only led me to hate this film even more. Abrams did the same thing with Star Trek, turning Khan into a white, deep-voiced menace. Khan Noonien Singh, a white man. It's all for profit and further proof that Hollywood is bankrupt of both creativity and money. Morality? Well, they've been devoid of that from the start.

I suppose I'll be labeled a white bigot woman hater from this review, but that's the way the world works nowadays. Don't dare question the pc pop-culture nation, or else face the wrath of, well...just wait and they'll reveal themselves. Don't dare question anything, just accept it as reality and never question it.

Having said that, I will see the second and third movies from this trilogy, either online or in theatres. Call it curiosity or just a narcissistic necessity. Either way, I understand, but then again, I don't understand.

The Dark Knight Movie Reviews Movie Reviews

I used to leave a theatre after seeing a highly anticipated movie, specifically a sequel, and be so revved up about what I saw that I would declare that movie to be the best of a series. After each of the prequel "Star Wars" films, I rated that one the best, as good as any of the originals...for a time, until my opinion balanced out and I had a more well-rounded take. For that reason, I steer away from that mindset, and did for "Dark Knight".

Though my opinion is solidifying already after having seen a Warner Bros. screening last night, "Dark Knight" ably stands on its own with or without "Batman Begins". At a two and a half hour runtime, it's definitely an epic of a movie, but one that never runs out of gas. A delightful addition to this experience was a healthy amount of IMAX footage, which significantly adds to the feel of being on a personal, and gruesome, tour of Gotham City.

Christian Bale plays such a well rounded Batman and Bruce Wayne, qualities that none of those who have donned the cowl before him have pulled off. I still have to remember that Bale is British since he speaks with such a spot on American accent. Bale has a particular slurring lisp that serves him quite well, charmingly for Bruce Wayne and threateningly for Batman.

Countering him is the late Heath Ledger, who plays such a scary and creepy Joker that I found it impossible to NOT have chills half the time I saw him on screen. What really separates this brand of Joker from Jack Nicholson's portrayal is true unpredictability. It's obvious that, to be a good guy and think like the Joker, it really takes a toll, and it sure isn't easy. How exactly does one take him down when he's woven his harebrained plot around multiple hostages, explosives, or disappearing parlor tricks?

Initially, I was uneasy about how the character of Harvey Dent would be handled. In my mind, there was really only one faithful portrayal of him, and that could be found in the "Batman" animated series of the early 90s. As well as Tommy Lee Jones COULD have handled him in "Batman Forever", he certainly did not, though it still was a highlight of that movie. Aaron Eckhart ably assumes the mantle here, delivering a performance out of this world, easily on par with the Batman animated series.

Be it known, this caped avenger stands for the good of Gotham City that the police force and its counterparts can't represent, the good that has no jurisdiction, no procedures...and no rules, save for one. I can only hope that we've seen just the prelude to the Dark Knight's upcoming legendary battles with the worst of Gotham City's dark underside.

"The Dark Knight" gets a solid 10 of 10 stars.

Doctor Strange Reviewe

'Heroes' deliberately took the super hero thing out of its typical colorful Marvel/DC comic context and placed it in our 'real' world. It made super heroes real, and this worked amazingly well in the first season. I'm a big Marvel fan, and what I don't like about 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' and most other MCU products is that they try to do something similar, they try to make it all more simple, toned down and 'realistic', and by doing so they end up pulling the 'marvellous' out of Marvel.

There are some complaints I have with the pilot - generic looking and acting cast/characters (with the exception of Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, who's just astoundingly likable), uninspired plot and action, forgettable dialogue, but this is my biggest complaint: the characters and the story don't really feel like they are part of the Marvel world that I've come to know from the comic books. It's not because there aren't any popular super heroes there (yet), it's the whole 'air' of the show, all the elements and contents seem replaceable, it feels like any other TV show.

I'm left with the feeling that someone created a totally regular TV show and fit in some stuff from the Marvel world, when instead they should create their characters and plots according to that world. Which would mean for example to create characters like Nick Fury, Dugan, Agent 13, Victoria Hand, comic Maria Hill - colorful people that you hate, appreciate, respect or despise (I mean it's freaking S.H.I.E.L.D., they are a nuisance and their agents act like dicks most of the time!). Which would mean to include the complexity of the world, background, politics, powers, magic etc.

I read from many fans 'but well, it's Marvel, so I'll give it a try', and that's my standpoint as well, but imo there's more to Marvel than just including some elements from that world. I'm missing this certain Marvel magic that surrounds the comic books (and some of the movies).
